Let the Manitoba Wildlife Federation know and we will send you a crest and a certificate acknowledging your "first"in any species of fish or small game, game bird, or big game species.
Members get crest and certificate

Make sure to include your full name, mailing address, phone number, member number (from the label on the inside of your Outdoor Edge magazine or membership card), species, details of when, where, and any other interesting facts.

But also make sure to send in that prize winning photo and we will post it on the site for everyone to see!

Eligibility: Any fish or game species taken after January 1, 2007 is eligible. Fish or game must be taken in compliance with all angling or hunting regulations.

Santana Miller of Eriksdalesaid that as soon as shewas 12 she wanted to get her huner safety so she could go hunting. She turned 12 in April, 2009. She has a very good year-her first bear and first deer. |

Frank MacFarlene took his 12 year old grandson Holden Bard to his favourite hunting spot, Delta Marsh, where Holden bagged his first duck (well actually ducks - a blue-bill and a widgeon) on September 26, 2009, Good shooting. |

Rhylan Ferens of Lac du Bonnet age 12 got his first big game animal, a barren land caribou scoring 304 7/8, on September 1st, 2009. Congratulations! |

Declan Hanley - age 3 with a monster northern pike. Declan and his father were fishing out at a friends cabin last July. This was Declan's first time fishing, and as his father, I was just so proud. I had bought Declan his very first "Big Red" fishing rod little guys. A few minutes later we were in the boat and heading for a good place to stop. |

Nolan Honke, aged 3 1/2, with his first fish, a 10” pickerel caught on Lake Wahtopanah (Rivers) on July 28/09. Using Grandpa’s (Lawrence Honke) ice fishing rod, Nolan caught a perch and one other pickerel that day. Sadly, Grandpa only got one nibble, but we’re sure Grandpa didn’t mind one bit considering Nolan’s excitement and thrill of
catching his first fish! |

We are not sure who was prouder – Donnie Bruce, 12, who got his first Sandhill Crane, with his first shot, on his first time out on September 1st! – or his dad, Rob Bruce who submitted this photo. Donnie also got his first Canada Goose (actually 2 geese) on September 13th. |
