MWF Programs HOW CAN YOU HELP ... THERE ARE A VARIETY OF WAYS

The Manitoba Wildlife Federation needs assistance from everyone who has an interest in the outdoors and outdoor activities. We can't do it without you and you can't count on the "other guy" to do it. There are so many ways you can help ...

GET INVOLVED ... there are so many ways.

    ---> Become a Member and be active within the community
    ---> Volunteer your time and your special skills
    ---> Make a donation
    ---> Introduce someone to the outdoors
    ---> Teach a kid to fish!
    ---> Take someone out to view wildlife
    ---> Take a senior fishing
    ---> Become a hunter education instructor
    ---> Share your knowledge with new hunters
    ---> Help save habitat for wildlife
    ---> Clean up rivers and streams

VOLUNTEER ... volunteers are wonderful!

The Manitoba Wildlife Federation is run by volunteers. Always ready to lend a helping hand, they are rewarded with the satisfaction of knowing that they have made a difference. Volunteers are needed to help fund-raise and help on specific provincial projects or functions, and in communities across Manitoba on various conservation projects.

To find out more contact the MWF office at 204.633.5967 or email: info@mwf.mb.ca.

BE A MENTOR ...

Are you an experienced hunter or angler? Do you have a few hours you can spare to teach a new person about the outdoor activities you so enjoy?

Take your nephew, your aunt, your neighbour, or anyone who would like to opportunity to learn out to the lake to fish or to the woods to scout for game. You’ll be surprised at the number of people you know who don’t get an opportunity to learn about fishing or hunting. Your rewards will be great -- it is often difficult to determine who has the most fun -- the mentor or the "student".

There are a number of organized mentored waterfowl hunts across Manitoba in September and several Learn to Fish programs in June in Winnipeg. To find out more contact the MWF office at 204.633.5967 or email: info@mwf.mb.ca.

DONATIONS ...

There are many ways you can make donations and make a difference.

Monetary

The Manitoba Wildlife Federation is a registered not-for-profit organization. It relies solely on membership, fund-raising and donations to operate. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated, and if desired, can be directed to specific programs or projects of the Federation, and are tax-deductible.
When a donation is made in memory of a loved one, a card is mailed to the specified next of kin in the name of the donor. The donor receives a tax-deductible receipt( Donations of $10 or more). Many people choose to make bequests through their estate.

Goods & Services

Donations of new or used outdoor equipment, or furnishings suitable for our Outdoor Education Center are also appreciated. From time to time, the MWF requires the service of tradesmen, skilled workers and professionals. This is particularly needed during the construction of our Outdoor Education Center.

If you can help, please contact the Manitoba Wildlife Federation at 204.633.5967 or email: info@mwf.mb.ca.
